Pheromones have been around for a long time now. It has been proven that every organism has a VSO in their nose which is responsible for binding with certain chemicals and bringing forth changes in the behavior or action of that organism. It is this organ and the pheromones that are responsible for inducing mating action in lower brain function organisms. However, some pheromones reviews even go to the extent of suggesting that the same is possible in humans.
While the claims of such reviews are true to a certain extent, it is not properly put for the readers. Pheromones are suggested as the reason why women staying together start to correlate their menstrual cycles around the same time but these cannot be said to be the sole factor in explaining the action of perfumes. Perfumes directly entice a human into states of attraction or repulsion by the smell that they give off rather than because of the binding of their chemical constituents with the VSO.
